I started working with Rebecca a month before back surgery. My goal was to physically prepare for optimal health going into surgery whilst being relatively inactive (due to pain) and to recover as healthy as I could considering no bending, lifting more than 10lb or twisting for 4-6 months and being over 60 years.
Back story is I have always been very active and eaten a healthy diet. However, I had the habit of eating emotionally and managed the odd food bender with exercise and following an old style of counting points. I knew this approach was no longer acceptable moving forward.
With Rebecca’s guidance I learned simple guidelines to optimize health pre and post op. My relationship with my body evolved into a more simple loving listening exercise. My relationship with food transformed into an intuitive understanding about what my sweet body truly needed to recover well. With one on one guidance, simple guidelines, journaling and routine online discussions Rebecca supported my recovery and is helping me while I become more active again. I am profoundly grateful for Rebecca’s gentle supportive approach.
